Join a fast-paced 7-hour product sprint where you’ll design and build a real solution using Microsoft Power Platform. Showcase your product thinking, creativity, and execution while competing for exclusive interview opportunities and recognition.
🧠 The Challenge
Participants will choose 1 of 3 real-world problem statements and develop a solution using Power Apps · Power Automate · Power Pages.
You’ll have just 7 hours to:
- Understand the problem
- Design a solution
- Build a functional prototype
- Record a demo walkthrough
Note: No live pitch. Submit your best version through a 5-minute max recorded video.

🎥 Submission Format
Submit a 5-minute max recorded demo video showcasing:
- The problem you chose
- Your solution and reasoning
- A walkthrough of your product
This format lets you present your work clearly without the pressure of a live pitch.

- Open to students across Canada and the U.S.
- Teams of 1–4 participants

- 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Opening Remarks
- 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM: Product Sprint
- 5:00 PM: Video Submission Deadline
- 5:00 – 7:00 PM: Judging Period
- 7:00 – 7:30 PM: Awards & Closing Remarks

Requirements
To be considered for judging, all teams must submit the following by 5:00 PM (MST):
🎥 1. Demo Video (Required)
- Maximum 5 minutes
- Must clearly demonstrate:
- The selected problem statement
- Your proposed solution
- A walkthrough of your product (built using Power Apps, Power Automate, and/or Power Pages)
- Ensure audio is clear and the demo is easy to follow
🧠 2. Project Description (Devpost Submission)
Include the following in your Devpost project page:
- Problem statement you selected
- Overview of your solution
- Key features and functionality
- Your approach and reasoning
🛠 3. Product Build
- A working prototype built using Power Apps, Power Automate, and/or Power Pages
- Judges should be able to understand functionality through your video (live links optional but encouraged)

⚠️ Important Notes
- Submissions received after 5:00 PM (MST – Canada) will not be considered
- Each team may submit only one project
- All work must be completed within the official sprint timeframe

The winning team will each get the chance to interview with BigTrunk Technologies for a part-time position/summer internship.
